Bitcoin makes aid faster, more direct, and more human.

Vision

With the Bitcoin Emergency Fund, Jugend Eine Welt is creating a new way to support people in crisis regions quickly, directly, and transparently. Bitcoin donations can be transferred to our local partners within minutes - securely, traceably, and with low fees.

Implementation & goals

• Direct transfers: Bitcoin is sent on-chain or via the Lightning Network directly to our local partners.
• Our partners can immediately exchange the Bitcoin into local currencies or, ideally, use it directly to pay for relief supplies.
• Jugend Eine Welt trains its partners in using Bitcoin so they are prepared in an emergency.
